Steven and I went in for the 16-week appointment, and were hoping and praying to find out the gender, but apparently they weren't going to do an ultrasound.
The doctor came in and checked the heart-rate, which was in the low 150's, which the doctor said is great. So we got the all-clear to go home.
BUT, I couldn't leave without at least trying to get an ultrasound. :)
I asked if it would be possible, because my husband didn't make it for the 12-week appointment, and they were so nice to squeeze us in.
We got back there and it was really hard to tell what the baby was doing, but the nurse could tell. She said the baby was laying facing towards my back, but head up. The head was laying on the arms, kind of like the baby was propped up on the back of the uterus. The legs were also crossed Indian-style, so the feet were in the way! So not only was the baby laying in the weirdest position, but we couldn't see what we needed!
So, I started rolling around and shaking, trying to make the baby move those little feet. :)
She got another look from the bottom and then said, "Oh I see boy parts." Steven immediately threw his arms in the air, like it was a goal in soccer.
It is so amazing to know we are having a boy! :)
